Let’s learn together how to design and build complex systems and solve industrial challenges!
Finding creative solutions for industrial challenges
Applying Systems Engineering principles and methodology
Working with an interdisciplinary student team
Getting familiar with R&D companies
We are welcoming curious and talented Master’s students willing to develop engineering and research
skills as preparing for their future career in Research & Development.
Are you ready to solve an industrial challenges? Then this is something for you!
Even for me, a real introvert, the teamwork was amazing! I have no regrets joining the programme.

Why choose the Systems Engineering Programme as a student?
LEARNing AND APPLying SYSTEMS ENGINEERING PRINCIPLES
The systems engineering course teaches students the tools and methodology for designing and building a complex system.
EARNing 18 ECTS
Systems Engineering course = 3 ECTS
Systems Engineering Company Project = 15 ECTS
DEVELOPing TRANSFERABLE SKILLS
The programme includes workshops that focus on transferable skills. We work together on strengthening our teamwork collaborations, learning entrepreneurial skills, presentation and writing skills, and more!
COLLABORating WITH INDUSTRY
The systems engineering project is a collaboration between a student team and a company. Students get a flavour of what it is means to work for a company and what are the current real industrial challenges.
A good place to get your hand dirty in the chaotically structured world of industry standard research and development.
– Maia Rigot – Master’s student Applied Physics
Your student team
A team work of 5-7 Master’s students
Your team consists of 5-7 enthusiastic Master’s students from the TU Delft from various engineering studies. All students need to follow a Systems Engineering course, either at Applied Sciences Faculty or own faculty.
Academic advisor
The team is guided by an academic advisor from the TU Delft. The advisor coaches the team regarding teamwork, way-of-working with an R&D company, and communication skills.
company supervisor
The team is guided on a weekly basis (1h/week) by a designated supervisor from the company.
location of the project
The team will be working both at your company site as well as at the TU Delft campus.
I would definitely recommend this class! The programme is not about solving an integral. Here, I learned how to structure my work and how to approach a complex problem. A refreshing experience!
